Lot 679 Tombstone Museum Constable & Sheriff Badges
Featured in this lot is this pair of constable and deputy sheriff badges circa early 1900's and were interred in the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum; Provenance: From the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum in Tombstone, Arizona. There are two badges in this collection. The first is a brass Deputy Constable Badge and is marked as such with a '13' in the center and is marked on the back as follows: 4-8-1892 - LA Stamp & STATY Co. The second badge is a circular cut out badge with a five point star in the center and is marked "Deputy Sheriff; and is marked on the back of the badge as follows: Los Angeles Rubber Stamp Co. The condition of this pair of museum badges is well preserved with some patina adorning both badges but otherwise shows a well preserved overall condition. The measurements of this pair of badges is 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" and 1 1/4" x 1 1/4". The collective weight of this pair of badges is 23.9g.
